My Historical Interview With Gilles Peterson

Caffeine rush!

As far as broadcasting goes, Gilles Peterson is like an institution. You might just learn something by tuning into his worldly BBC Radio 1 show. Last night, I was a guest on his show where his listeners (between the UK, Japan, and the U.S.) got wind of songs like “Cold Pillow,” “Enjoy The Sun,” and the Leatherette remix of “Late Night Operation.”

Mr. Peterson, a veteran to the music industry (20 years!) was rocked by “Cold Pillow.” It was my gift to him, and of course the world. In return, he surprised me with an autographed copy of his new coffee table book, Freedom: Rhythm & Sound. An inspiring collection of music I must say. Watch a segment from our interview below.

TL and Jack Penate perform Pull My Heart Away (Jamie xx remix)

For my last tour date supporting Jack Penate, we collaborated on-stage for the Jamie XX remix version of “Pull My Heart Away”. The fans at South Hampton University hung onto our every word. We had a blast for the finale of our UK tour together.
